Embark on an evening of profound exploration with A World in Common, a collaborative event by the Aga Khan Museum, the Consulate General of the Republic of France in Toronto, and the French Institute.
This captivating program delves into humanity's paramount challenge of the 21st century — how to restore our planet's habitability. Featuring a diverse lineup of artists, activists, and leaders, the event aims to enrich our understanding of our connection with the natural world and strategies to preserve it for future generations.
Highlights include an original performance by poet Tawhida Tanya Evanson and Iranian tanbur and setar master Pooria Pournazeri. Additionally, a thought-provoking talk inspired by the 2020 French documentary Composer les Mondes explores a town's successful resistance against a new airport, revealing novel ways of experiencing the world.
The panel includes director Eliza Levy, lawyer Marine Calmet, and anthropologist Lisa Janz, co-moderated by Ulrike Al-Khamis, Director and CEO of the Aga Khan Museum, and cultural attaché Hadrien Laroche.
Experience the encore presentation of Radha Chaddha’s IAM: Dance of the Molecules, a mesmerizing narrative about humanity's encounters with the coronavirus, expressed through dance and light. This event is part of the global Night of Ideas initiated by the French Institute, connecting renowned thinkers worldwide to address contemporary issues.
